Just wanted to let everyone know that I have switched the tribe settings to Public instead of Moderated. Now anyone can join the tribe. I originally wanted to keep the members as those who attended or planned to attend the events, so that we could all keep in touch and plan as a group.
Due to receiving many requests to post information or to join the tribe, I've decided that it is best for anyone to join and see what we are about. I want to help promote this event for Scott and Kay, and having a moderated tribe doesn't really help get the word out.

My only request.........

New members, please introduce yourselves! Say hello and where you're from........we're a friendly crowd and in the spirit of Spirithaven, we like to consider ourselves family.
Welcome and many peacock blessings be upon you-

Want my intro? I'm Laura. Hi! I know some of you from Pennsic. I have a Cumbus (you know what that is, of course). I would have liked to go to Darbukistan last year and I'd like to go this year, but guess what... I have anxieties about long drives, and this festival is pretty far away. So I don't know... Unless there is someone from around Philly who'd like to carpool.

Anyway, Maybe I will make it to the fest!!

Hey... this is Melissa, the clarinet player Carmine talks about. Guess that is obvious from my pic.... :-)

    My history:

I've been a clarinet player for nearly 17 years (non consecutive). I was a member of Khafif for almost 5 years. For the past 8 months, I've been playing in my band, Ishtar, Pittsburgh's Only Classic Bellydance Band.

I've played many years at Pennsic and at different SCA events. This last Pennsic I taught 9 sessions of Middle Eastern Music Ensemble. I am the organizer for Jalsah Pittsburgh, a live Middle Eastern music event that brings together the community with musicianship, drumming, and dance.

I think that is about it for now.

DID is definitely on my event wish list for 2007!!!!
