I think it was two years ago, we had some fire performances at DID......there are pictures in our album, way back in the album....
although we haven't had any fire workshops. I have no idea if there would be enough interest to fill a class - anyone here who is interested, please speak up so we have an idea!
I really don't know what Sheque would say to it. Please contact Scott/Sheque and ask him about it! (go to touch the earth website and email him from there.)

Tue, January 16, 2007 - 6:22 PMWe'd love to do a fire performance as a troupe and/or one of my troupe members Jaclin has recenlty started teaching fire fan.
But I'm still learning a lot, so I'd be happy to take a workshop from Marcy and Bash again too. I've seen them perform at Triboriginal and they were fantastic.
I was just posting to see if fire was something the DID crowd would welcome to the farm setting. Or if there would be problem with the fuels and such. It just seemed like a great place for it.

I "also" am a fire performer and work with Circus Morpheus a New Orleans based Circus Arts Collective that has artists/performers nationwide. Bash is part of our extended family as is Onca (who SHOULD be doing some fire *hint hint*)
Anyways, I teach Fire Basics at Spring 4th here in Atl and we have a HUGE group of performers (like atleast 12). We teach FireSafety, Poi, Fearless Fire Eating, Staffs/Clubs, Rope Dart, Manipulations, Constructions and Choreography...whew!
We would love to come up and atleast perform if not instruct some sort of basics workshops;>

Thanks for the note and for being a liason between tribe and DID-central. We are so crazy-busy we never have the opportunity to Tune-in to Tribe. We appreciate you letting us know what the buzz is all about.

Thu, May 3, 2007 - 12:23 PMYea..me and Bash were talking about doing a set for DID, but its going to be hard to work out in time due to distance and schedules.
I "was" wanting to teach some fire safety, basic first aid, fearless fire eating and possibly choreography with props. We'll see....
Christy, what all fire do you do? Would love to put something together with you if you are going to Trans?!
